Surroundings let this place down. Cafe needs updated but worst of all are the toilets. Seemed clean but sorely in need of modernisation. Staff, especially the owner, are friendly. Food was of a good standard and tasty. Choice of two soups. Both sounded good. The sweets in the cabinet looked very attractive but I managed to resist. Hopefully, not next time!

Gorgeous home made soup, scones and cakes. Generous portions. Quick and efficient service. We wouldn't go anywhere else when in dumfries
