Arrived on Valentine's Day for lunch and had to queue for a few minutes for a table to become free...and wow was it worth the wait...!!.
Despite being packed the staff were amazing...the table was quickly wiped down and our order was taken.
The food that was provided would have put many a high class restaurant to shame both myself and my partner ordered vegetarian and appart from tasting delicious it was wonderfully presented.
To be able to provide food and service like that under such busy conditions speaks volumes for the staff serving and those behind the scenes in the kitchen.
Full marks and can't wait to have lunch there again ...well done indeed..!!.

A lovely place for lunch, coffee or afternoon tea. Food freshly made, generous portions. Very popular. Lots of delightful gifts of jams etc on sale.

I visited on Friday 16th March with my daughter and twenty two month old granddaughter. We ordered two coffees and a baby chino. When our drinks came I thought the babychino looked a bit warm so my daughter tasted it. It was so hot she scalded her tongue. There were two plastic straws in the drink which, when my daughter removed had actually melted the milk was so hot. I returned the drink and it was replaced but I'm concerned that a drink intended for a child was served at such a high temperature. Surely a thermometer should be used to test the temperature. We visit Galloway Lodge regularly and will take extra care in future when I order from their drinks menu. There's a serious health and safety issue  here. Parents/Grandparents please be aware.

Another great lunch here today. This time with my daughter and son. Service, food and ambience was fab. Never been disappointed in this place. Will always return here.
