The Puckersley goes above and beyond AND THEN some for guests!!!! My husband and I invited our whole family out for a dinner and gender reveal of our baby and we asked the waitress staff to help us with the surprise. Not only did Liana, our waitress excitedly oblige in being the first to find out the gender and fill a cupcake with the correct color so that my husband and I could be surprised too, she made it super special by having the staff bring out a congratulations dessert, film our reactions and take pictures, and was just so wonderful the entire time in making it a special occasion for us. All this to say, the food was also SO delicious! We love the Puckersley and will be coming here for years to come when we are in town!!! Thanks again for everything!
The food was incredible like always, and the service is always amazing. Easily the best pub for food and drink I have ever been to. Would recommend to EVERYONE.Food: 5/5
This was our first visit to the puckersley and we will definitely be going back. Very welcoming staff and a very nice and clean pub. The food was delicious but the portion size was a little on the small size. The entertainment came on at 9 and he sounded great. So we plan on going back soon to enjoy the artists which are on every Saturday. Well done guys...
We have eaten numerous times at the Puckersley and again the food was first class. Friendly staff and a pub with a good friendly atmosphere. Had 2 starters, 2 mains and a bottle of wine for under £70. Good value for a quality meal.Food: 5/5
We had the 2 courses Sunday lunch. We both had the fish gougons and the roast beef. Although the gougons had quite a thick coating they were quite nice. Unfortunately the roast beef was chewy and inedible really. They swapped it for the pork which was OK. However there was no recompense for the roast beef we had been looking forward to. I was particularly embarrassed as my friend was from out of town.I had a recommendation to go here from another friend who had a sandwich and chips earlier in the week. So maybe if you stick to the sandwiches you might be OK. Moreover, it cost £4.50 extra for a portion of cauliflower cheese.
Lovely Sunday lunch set menu, I had lamb dinner with all the trimmings and chocolate pudding with icecream, dad had cheese and onion pie chips and beans. Great value and lovely staff, highly recommend :Food: 5/5
The cheese and onion pie is vile, the salad had more oil than the North Sea, the triple cook chips tasted like they had been cooked the day before and warmed up in the microwave, to top it off when I sent it back after only having a mouth full off the plate I was told I still have to pay for it!!!! Save your money and tastebuds and eat somewhere else.
1st time at the puckersley. Seeing a post on Facebook thought we would give it a go. We arrived about 3.30pm, a little quiet when arriving but the warm welcome from Gabby was lovely. We had a starter of prawns and lamb kofta and we went for the lamb rag pudding and belly pork rice dish. Was very nice but we will be back. Thanks to the bar staff and kitchen was a lovely experience
Fantastic pub and restaurant. All the staff are extremely efficient, friendly and professional. The food and menu is always good with a regular addition of "specials' that changes on a regular basis. Live music on a Saturday night and a great quiz on a Monday night adds even more to this fantastic venue. We love it. Parking: Car park adjacent and opposite.
Coming here for some Thursday teatime grub was a great spontaneous decision. Chose the Northern Burger which was gorgeous. Leanna’s service our waitress was up there with one of the best I’ve ever experienced. First welcoming us with open arms, then finding the time to come and have a chat, making sure our whole experience was no less than perfect. 10/10 all round, will certainly be back again!
