I have enjoyed many Summer hours in Priory park . It is beautifully kept and right in the centre of town. The church is historic but totally closed to the public. Visitors can read the plaque close to the (locked) entrance. Chichester is blessed to have so many large green spaces right in the town centre.

In the heart of the city this is a jewel of space accommodating a play park, open space, cricket pitch, bowls and a delightful cafe. There are reasonable public toilets too. Stand in the presence of the old priory and know that you also stand above the remains of a Roman villa just 12-24inches below your feet.

Lovely place to relax, watch cricket, have pint in a pub close by, let the kiddies play on the well looked after playground and maybe have a coffee in the cafe. Also very well located. Nice to visit all year round.

Beautiful surroundings with a great play park for kids of all ages and a cafe with good food at a bargain. Really friendly staff also. Sadly, no dogs allowed 😊

Very peaceful park. Not too big, not too small. Cafe, toilets, church, and bowling green, surrounded on one side by the famous medieval wall. Also a small bird aviary. Very old cricket grounds.
