The room had a nice view of the cathedral, but shame the windows were all misted up with damp in the morning so couldn’t see out.nnThe main issue was the serious lack of parking. There were three spaces outside the hotel and the rest were in an underground car park that anyone could use, and there were not many to begin with. It says the parking is first come first served, so be prepared to have to park elsewhere and pay expensive parking rates.nnNot massively cheap either for a travelodge, but it is right in the centre of the city, which was really handy to explore the city.
This is my first time in Chichester, staying at the Travelodge was much better than I had expected. I have to say the team are delightful, Gina who checked us in gave us all the important points and was very welcoming.nnIt was a little disappointing to learn the rooms don’t have A/C but we were given a fan. And whilst there is no breakfast buffet, the breakfast to go option is good value and good quality.nnThe housekeeping team are great too, all our linen, coffee, and bins were attended to whilst we were out during the days.
Staff were fantastic and Gina went out of her way to get a room ready for an early check in so we could get ready for a nearby wedding.nThe room itself was basic but clean as was the bathroom and the bed was comfortable.nThe room was very warm and there's no air-conditioning, but there was a window to open a bit and a fan provided which made it comfortable enough.nGreat location and convenient free parking in an underground carpark next to the hotel.
The staff and the room were lovely. Room was very clean. Parking was just next door and no cost involved. When we checked out they allowed us to have a free day in the car park as we did some sight seeing. The only issue we had was the lack of air conditioning. Unfortunately it was one of the hottest days in recent memory and with no air conditioning the room was as so warm. A fan was provided but it simply wasn’t enough.
Excellent Service from Danielle at Travelodge Chichester CentralnnI just wanted to highlight the outstanding service I received from Danielle during my recent stay. From the moment I arrived, she was welcoming, professional, and genuinely helpful. She went out of her way to ensure everything was smooth and stress-free — a rare level of attentiveness that really stood out.nnWhether it was helping with local recommendations or just her friendly, approachable manner at reception, Danielle made a real difference to the overall experience. She’s a credit to the Travelodge team, and I hope her efforts are recognised.nnHighly recommend this location – and if Danielle is on shift, you’re in good hands.
