Lovely food at lunch time today. Good autumnal options added to the menu. Would recommend the truffle Mac & cheese! Great advise re. my tastecard also!Food: 5/5
Burrata avocado and tomato salad was absolute rubbish. Tomatoes were not ripe, avocado had black spots chef pointlessly tried to garnish those with cheese and salad leaves were dried out waiters were quite helpful though, therefore two stars although one of them was smelly coming on to shop-floor straight after having a cigarette Could do with a good experienced manager
This was the last restaurant located next to Vue Cinema, along the broadwalk. Went to Prezzo as a party of 2 for early Dinner, about 5 pm on the 2nd of May 2022. We were seated at a very nice table, away from the masses, so had plenty of space . Elena was our server. We ordered the Seabass and the Tre Carni Calzone accompanied by House fries, Caffe Latte and Apple juice. I asked for my Calzone to be made spicy with red chillies and that was done. The sea bass was very nicely cooked as was my Calzone and both were presented nice and hot. It was a really enjoyable dining experience. Well done and a big thank you to Elena for her great service which added to our enjoyment.
Slow service, no checking how our meals were & my sons kids pizza had more meat on it than mine. Paid an extra £1 for mozzarella on his garlic bread starter which came out smaller than the size of my palm and had to ask for his dessert again which still hadn't arrived by the time we finished ours apparently the ticket hadn't gone through but bit strange when all the desserts were ordered at the same time? The chap on the door was only seen sitting a couple of people down the whole time we were there otherwise didn't appear to be doing much work at all. The restaurant wasn't even half full so no excuse for slow & poor service. Certainly wouldn't be rushing back there.
I attended the restaurant on a windy weekend day lunchtime. The place was empty but it had just opened to be fair. We had a choice of tables where we opted for a booth. Although there were a 8 or so to choose from we were shown to the one with a ripped seat and some sort of sticky residue on the table from what appears to be a sticker. Cutlery was clean and the table well prepared. Staff appeared friendly and talkative and ordered were taken quickly l. Food arrived hot but starters of prawn and squid appeared a bit tasteless. I ordered a Coke but was given a Pepsi. The waitress never confirmed this which is a big no no in my book. Mains of spaghetti carbonara was nice but chicken was a little dry. The other main being a chicken burger. This was dry and the edge of the lettuce inside the bun was brown on the edge indicating it had been hanging around a while. Prices are fair for the items presented. With the points raised I’ve given them a good 3 stars, but with a few little things it could easily be a 4.
Tiramisu is a new receipe and boy was it a taste explosion in the mouth. Made as if from Italy, as I've tasted a good few Tiramisu on my journeys but this is the best in UK so far! Light and tasty, I could have had two had I not eaten a starter and main. Highly recommend trying if you love Italian desserts done the Italian way. The staff were wonderful. The atmosphere was great during lunch time, not too busy and the tables were kept clean, so we had a choice of where to sit with baby and pram in tow. Baby changing facility was clean. Prices were reasonable for a chain restaurant, the going rate. Choice of soft drinks for those of us who cannot drink is wonderful...I love a good mocktail as I have a newborn and have to drive so it was a pleasure to see good options other than your bog standard coke, fizzy drinks, hence I took photos of the citrus cooler we tried for the first time and it was refreshing & delicious.
Was very busy, food seemed like it had been cooked and then reheated. Waited ages to be served, asked 2 different staff for a jug of water that took about 10 mins. Waited ages. Just for my 2 cokes and kids juice. . I get it was busy, but very slow and the food definitely was nothing to write home about. £50 later. I felt robbed . I wish I just bought some bites from marks and Spencer’s next door and took it home with me to cook. . On a positive note the lady who served us was really nice so not all bad. But definitely needs more staff and food not reheated
I managed to book a table. I had to book at least 5 days in advance and I could only get an 8.45pm table. The eat out help out really made a difference to our bill. We only ended up paying £13.50 for a 3 course meal. I really liked the food. You could tell it was freshly made and came out of the kitchen so quick. I would definitely go prezzo again. The waitress and other staff were so friendly, even when we went the wrong way to get out of the restaurant.
In general I like Prezzo, however visit to this particular branch was a big mistake. For the first time in my life I had to return food in a restaurant. Calzone I ordered was not cooked inside table next to us also received cold calzone 10 minutes earlier. I would hope chef learns from his mistake, not. That's not all. We had to wait almost 45 minutes to place an order and then another 45 minutes for food. On top of above staff was disorganised, number of tables not cleared for a long time after customers had gone. Very poor experience, will never visit that branch again.
First impressions of a restaurant are always important, so i don't expect to be on my hands and knees trying to wedge menu's underneath the table to make it even so drinks don't spill on 2 separate tables. Neither do i expect to have to keep my coat on the whole because it's so cold in there. I expect a bit better when you're spending £150 . As for service, it is so understaffed that the poor lad serving us was so rushed off his feet didn't even have time to put knives down for the 2nd course just a pile of forks in the middle of the table. Overpriced, freezing cold ,poor atmosphere i wouldn't recommend, and i won't be returning.
