Staff here are amazing, very friendly, warm and welcoming. I normally stay in premier plus rooms so I don't like staying in the normal rooms anymore and they need updating. They were clean and tidy. Parking was fine, plenty of space. £10 for overnight parking, paid on entry. I'd stay here again.
This was one of the nicer Premier Inns we have stayed in. Staff was super friendly. We had an issue with the adjoining room being noisy late at night, the staff addressed the issue right away. Location is great, within walking location of the football grounds and town centre.
Stayed for 5 nights and had pretty much all positive experiences from the affordable luxury that is Premier Inn. Check in is swift, you just have to show your booking reference and sign a paper and you've got your room key. Once in your room you know straight away you'll get a good night's sleep thanks to the high standard cleanliness, the cozy aesthetic, the large TV, the soundproof external walls and the super comfy bed. Very quiet considering there are railroads on either side and also the stadium nearby you can only hear matches if you stand right next to the window. Breakfast is a self serve buffet and all food is nice and filling, they do charge about £10 extra for it per morning but not that much more when added up. You should also try the on site restaurant one evening, they offer three course meals with presentable, tasty food, as well as an outstanding waiter service, and they cater for allergies, with staff helping you to decide what to pick if you have an allergy.nOnly cons really were two things that didn't spoil my hotel experience. The bathroom was a bit dirty and had a tatty ceiling, and I couldn't figure out how to work the shower, fortunately there was a bath in my room and probably would be easier to work the shower in rooms without a bath anyway. Also the free WiFi can be painfully slow, but it is worth the paid upgrade to Ultimate WiFi, which is about £5 for 24 hours, especially if you are only staying for 1-2 nights.nOverall what you'd expect, if not more, from a budget hotel. When I was checking out, the staff even ordered me a taxi to Chester as I was running late for a train I needed to catch.
Cannot fault the location or the staff, who were wonderful. There were two issues one of which was resolved. The free Wi-Fi at the hotel is atrocious. It was impossible to even send an email at one point. The connection was extremely unstable and, when eventually connected, very slow. It's a common problem at Premier Inn hotels.nThe room was very cold, but staff did set the air conditioning to heat rather than cool the room. It does beg the question as to why a guest has to complain before the heating is turned on!
I've given it 5 stars for service as all the staff are friendly and helpful except the person who was doing breakfast. We were told we could have coffee as we were leaving early before breakfast started. His attitude and language was disgusting as he told us in no uncertain terms that we couldn't have breakfast two mornings in a row. I will go back as all the other staff were brilliant, but he has an attitude problem.
