Good food and some nice veggie / vegan options.  We were the only ones eating here on our eve so no idea what its like when busy.  But food was great very friendly service.   If recommend for food.

We visited for afternoon tea. The restaurant is very nice. Light and airy. The staff were really friendly and helpful.  When the afternoon tea came, we were pleasantly surprised at the items.  We enjoyed the whole experience.  We would recommend The Lemon Tree 🎄 to anyone.

Went with a Groupon code as a gift, for Afternoon Tea (pictured) - which should retail for £30. Finger sandwiches, toasted plum cake, cream cake,  a test tube of chocolate mouse and stale scones, with pots of tea or coffee. All quite nice but the scones, which we did not finish. Stars deducted because of the scones , and the service,  which since we obviously didn't 'belong' as the typical clientele, was shocking.
Verdict: attend if you are of a certain class.

Stayed here Saturday 27th January. Arrived about 19.00 after working all day looks fine from the outside went to reception .room was booked though work,couldn't find the booking at first but I had printed the confirmation and handed this over once found I was asked for payment which has never happened before (strange I thought). Went to my room for a shower. Came back down to reception asked if I could see a menu was told there wasn't  any table's I didn't say I was going to eat here. There is a vibe in this place and not in a nice way.went to bed without meal. Up early didn't stay for breakfast didn't want you spend a other minute here.know where I'm not wanted.
Reported this place to my company.

Lovely staff, happy and friendly. Food was good apart the steak which was more well done than medium rare. Very long wait for starters over 40 minutes. Not up to its usual standard tonight I'm afraid.
