Although this is not as pretty, or located in the prettiest area, it was really good stay.nOur room was as expected, clean and spacious with a nice en suite and lovely fluffy towels.nThe bed was super comfy and we slept in till 9!! thanks mostly to the black out curtains and great sound proofing.nWe had a superb breakfast, with great choice and lovely fresh ingredients.nNo hesitation in recommending this particular hotel. Good value for money.
The staff at this premier inn were absolutely delightful, incredibly helpful and very professional. The evening and morning chefs, under an immense amount of pressure, delivered tasty hot perfectly presented food. My only complaint was an awful first night with no sleep due to a family with very noisy children checking in around midnight, put in the room above mine, and the delightful darlings stomping and running across the room for about two hours. It was so loud, I think the parents were throwing suitcases around too. It was not good, when I brought this to the attention of the morning staff they were hugely apologetic, checked the booking and confirmed there were only staying that one night, but did offer us a room swop and gave us complimentary breakfast on the next morning. Overall, the staff were under a lot of pressure multitasking in all departments, but kept a happy professional standard at all times, I would definitely stay there again.
Only on the edge of the citywalkable to the cathedral. Nice and quiet. Good clean and comfy rooms and good breakfast. Staff friendly and welcoming. The Irish gentleman chef doing the breakfast was a friendly chap.
Great and convenient location for visiting Somerset, however the rooms are not sound-proofed guess from room above very loud just before 6am, room carpet looked dirty and windows are sealed so unable to open them. We might look for a different hotel if visiting again in the future.
This experience has been the worst I have ever had in any hotel, marked by exceptionally rude and unhelpful customer service.nnWe had booked two rooms in Premier Inn in Wells for the 8th of June, including a meal deal for four adults and one child.nThe purpose of our stay was to celebrate my daughter's birthday, and after a long drive from Cornwall, we were looking forward to a pleasant stay at your hotel. Unfortunately, this was not the case.nnUpon arrival at approximately 6:40 pm, we were greeted by a lady at reception who identified herself as the manager after we asked to talk to the manager. She denied us entry to our pre-paid roomndue to a mistake in their system. I had booked a room with two beds for two adults and a child, explicitly stating that my 6-year-old daughter would be staying with us. However, the system incorrectly registered our booking without a child, and the receptionist insisted that the fault was mine. Which doesn’t make sense as the only reason we were there was to celebrate my daughter’s bday.nDespite my attempts to explain that the booking error was not my fault and that I had included a child in the reservation and that she was the only reason we were there, the receptionist rudely and loudly insisted that there was nothing she could do and asked us to leave. I had my elderly mother in law and my 6year old daughter . This behaviour is not only unprofessional but also unacceptable. Denying already paid accommodation to a family, including a very elderly person and a young child, and treating us with such disrespect on my daughter’s birthday is morally outrageous. Her uncle and auntie who also booked a room witnessed everything and had to leave too with disgust wasting the money they spent on the room too.nnFurthermore, other guests in the dining area witnessed this appalling behaviour, which only compounded our humiliation. This situation resulted in us having to leave the hotel, effectively wasting almost £400 for two rooms with a meal deal included and ruining my daughter's birthday celebration.nnI had never had to endure such a distressing experience.nNever staying in a Premier In again.
