Great place for a evening out for a meal, friendly staff and a good selection of beers.

Had a glass of wine and a rest sat out in the sunny courtyard after a troll around the town most people there were locals, it was a pleasant experience as everyone there was very friendly and sociable.

Took an age for a simple order of ice cream to turn up. Staff need to be more aware of who has been waiting rather than serving the loudest voice.

Top place right in the heart of the old city. Used to be the old jail lots of interesting old features. Great music nights,  we saw a terrific local band The Bad Cowboys and had a fun night out.

The old city gaol thats now a pub - the Sunday roast here is the best in Wells and I have never had to book. The staff and locals are friendly and they also accept dogs here. Beer selection was good and they also serve a small variety of Belgian beer.
