Great premier inn, we stopped over the Christmas period.nRooms were clean and large, and the staff were really lovely too.nThere is pub over the road that does a relatively decent buffet breakfast. The staff there were great there too - but service a bit slooooow for food and drink.nOnly down side with the rooms was the toilet roll was like a public toilets provision and the tap turned on like a fire hose and absolutely drenched anyone that turned it on like you were in a comedy film.
Arrived late and flustered after a very long drive receptionist very helpful and patient as originally I could not find details of booking. room was your standard room, with one difference to alot of this type of hotel v stayed in around the country,it was spotlessly clean and tidy with tea coffee present, which was welcome after the journey I had, stayed for a couple days on business, house keepers are some of the nicest I have meet nothing was too much trouble from the extra towels to local knowledge, will definitely stay here again when I'm next up here.
We stayed there for 2 nights. We had a bit of issues with wifi we paid for and heating but was resolved by a receptionist. Good place as a restaurant, Aldi, KFC, Starbucks are just less than 3 mins walk.
Well, being an outdoor education provider you can imagine I’ve stayed in some iffy places. But as hotels go this place is a dump. The receptionist was one of the rudest people I’ve ever had the misfortune to meet and about as helpful as wet tissue paper. There were large lumps of mud throughout the building which was dragged everywhere by people wearing work boots all throughout the building. The food is massively over priced and the staff tend to call you mate quite a lot. When I went to use the bathroom there was a used condom floating in the toilet which wouldn’t flush away. Over all the place is grim.
The restaurant was one of the worst I’ve ever eaten in. Was staying for business and had a meal deal that I couldn’t use and for some reason struggling to get refunded. Ate at the kfc next door after the first night. The photo shows my food. Was trying to eat healthily but the menu was just chips. Asked for a jacket potato they had run out. So asked for the salad which came soaked in a very thick and congealed vinaigrette. Requested a new salad and it never arrived. Felt sorry for the staff who were doing their best. Won’t return. Also no WiFi…
