Conveniently located five minutes from the station. We were there for the theatre, which was also within walking distance as well as a shopping centre and numerous restaurants. At Premier Inn for an extra £10.99 you can have a full English breakfast from the buffet, where you help yourself to as much as you like. Comfortable seating in the lounge, where there is a bar and tv while you wait to check in or until it’s time to leave for your train. The rooms are generally great but mine had a mild unpleasant odour hence only 3*.
This is my go-to hotel when staying in the city. Location is brilliant and the staff have always been very helpful.nnThis was my first occasion staying in a Premier Plus room 804! Wow. The room is a big upgrade on a standard room. The standard rooms are great but the Premier Plus just have the extra little luxuries that make a stay so much nicer! Whole room was spotless and quiet. I will be staying in a premier plus room again.nnReception staff on this visit couldn’t do enough to help, including answering questions about the room amenities.
We had a premier plus room that hadn't been cleaned very well. We found toenails, hairs and crumbs around the room. The lifts are a nightmare. They aren't linked so you can have a long wait to get in but then have to go all the way to the top before going down the 2 floors to the car park. They do have a sign up apologising for this though. Breakfast was good. Bed was hard and you roll to the middle. Overall, about average for a Premier Inn.
We stayed for two nights and had a lovely experience. The room was nice, the bed was comfortable and those sheets felt so nice against your skin. Breakfast was nice but I was surprised that there was no cheese or meat slices. We also ate dinner one night and both times the staff were lovely friendly people. Reception staff included. I was very grateful to one of the senior staff who found my bank cards after I'd dropped them near the door and was about to panic.nThe only criticism I have though is that you DO NOT make clear that the cost for an early check in is £10.00 each not per room. I also think that when two people are booked into a room they would check you both into a room that had been cleaned earlier so why would it be £10.00 each as opposed to the room?
Stayed for 2 nights, staff very helpful, location is excellent. The room was dark, the TV volume wouldn’t go higher than 15, which was probably out of courtesy to other guests. We stayed in an accessible room my only gripe about it was the stains along the base of the walls.nI use an electric chair and there are no sockets at the side of the bed to charge, a solo traveller in an electric chair would struggle with this re charging chair at night.
