Booked this hotel as we needed to be close to where family member was doing university audition. Staff were friendly and polite. First impressions a clean welcoming reception area with soft seating arranged in a large area. We had a standard 2 double bed room. Very clean and comfortable room, tv, wifi, USB charge point. We had evening meal in restaurant, good choice of dishes. Food arrived quickly and hot. Had breakfast the next day, we hadn't pre booked breakfast when we booked but you just pay at breakfast. Buffet style so you can keep everybody happy. Good selection of cold and hot food.nThe hotel is close to the centre for easy access to shopping centres and restaurants.nOverall, for such a short stay we were very pleased with this hotel.
Stayed here overnight as a family of 3 2 adults and a 5 year old. We had a Queen room with 2 x double beds- check in wasn't great as there was a large function on, causing the receptionist to have to shout and I found not to be welcoming to us.nnWe also had to switch rooms as we were given a room without a bath or stocked mini-bar, which was the spec we had booked. We were moved promptly, however the receptionist had claimed they didn't have rooms to that spec despite having booked through the IHG app?. A room to the spec we had booked was found though.nnThe reason for my above average rating however is the restaurant. I have eaten in Holiday Inns before, where the offerings are mediocre at best- the dinner we had was surprisingly very good, to our delight! Marina, the Supervisor was great- we were shown to a table and given adult menus had to ask for a children's menu- then ask to be brough crayons...the nachos provided for children when first seated were not given to us either. Despite that, the food was a good quality- and there was a good mix. The coconut soup and pineapple carpaccio were very tasty! And my husband and son enjoyed their food too.nnBreakfast was also good- pancakes you have to order, those were a big hit with my son! And I liked having an option of sparkling water at breakfast too.
What an excellent location! I stayed there to attend a friend's event and it was walking distance to everything! The reception staff were excellent, friendly and gave good tips about local places including a last minute hairdresser appointment! Lovely bar and big room although I didn't get the free smellies and there was a slightly odd smell in my room but otherwise, bright, clean and I even bumped into a friend who stayed there the same night. I will book again when I return.
Wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were very attentive and helpful with any problems, but there were none. Breakfast was wonderful and fresh every morning. And the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Special shout out to Ewa, She oversaw the management excellently.
We had a hectic drive from London and was bit chaotic to find parking . This was trip for my daughter’s birthday to space museum. Despite the challenging start to our visit Gemimie at reception completely changed the atmosphere /situation with her warm smile and positive energy.nnShe was absolutely outstanding during check-in and demonstrated exactly how a receptionist should welcome guests. She asked thoughtful questions about our journey, whether we had stayed with Holiday Inn before, and even took the time to treat our children to chocolates after carefully checking if they had any allergies and I am okay for the offer ,That level of attention to detail was incredibly impressive.nnGemimie made everything seem effortless, explaining breakfast times and all the hotel facilities clearly and professionally. Her passion for her role was obvious, and as a hospitality professional myself, I found her dedication truly admirable.nnThe rooms were spacious and spotless. The restaurant and breakfast teams were extremely busy due to a rugby team staying at the hotel, but they remained attentive, helpful, and smiling throughout. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch the names of the breakfast staff, but they were exceptional and never missed a beat despite the pressure.nnOverall, this was a fantastic stay — 15/10.nnGemimie and the breakfast team, you absolutely smashed it with your care and passion .Thank you for delivering such impeccable service.
