I had to phone to book and I initially asked if they had adjoining rooms I needed 2 rooms for a family of 5. No adjoining rooms which isn't an issue, but the rooms I was given, on arrival, were 2 floors apart! Bit disappointing to be honest, although the wee chap that checked us in was lovely. He did move the rooms, but could only get us 1 floor apart!nThe website also gives the postcode for the hotel rather than the car park. This is a bit annoying when you've driven 6 hours and end up outside the hotel, but no clue where to leave your car.nMy husband had to go in and get a different postcode for the carpark, this should be on the website or on the 'confirmation of booking' email. I was doing pretty well, but this tipped me over the edge which was a shame after a nice run down.
Rooms are average nothing fancy, beds are pretty comfy and good pillows for a decent nights sleep. Good selection of drinks and the food is good. There is plenty of parking near by but none at the hotel, the parking across the road is around £4 8am to 6pm then free after 6pm.
Stayed here for work purposes and on arrival was greeted by two friendly receptionist she mentioned we had the same surname so we had a little laugh about that! Room was nice and clean the bed was really comfortable so had a good nights kip, lost a star with service for me as when I got to the bar I realised no one was their so had to walk to reception just to be served, the receptionist explained that there was only 2 of them working and apologised from then on she made herself available. To get to reception level you would need to take the lift which they do have two but other one was out of service which made waiting for one painful! No onsite parking but there’s a car park literally across the road with no height restrictions.
Room was very comfortable and clean, though the air con wasn’t working and stuck in heat mode. Which they said they would fix but didn’t.nnAlso they have no lifts. 1 has been out for a while but both seem to be out for the foreseeable. Considering the reception is up about 3 normal floors, this simply isn’t good enough.nnGood access to Hemel town centre, but a decent 25 min walk or drive from the train station.
Located one road from the high street and 15 mins from Harry Potter Studios. Staff were fantastic. Rooms were very clean snd tidy. Only downside we could find was the walls are a little thin so loud people comming back at night could be heard and people stomping above. Great hotel and would go back
