I've never had a worse experience in any post office EVER The queue was beyond belief with only 1 person behind the till. I only wanted a stamp so decided the best course of action was the self scan checkouts. After moving all the rubbish off them I tried to proceed without success as the self scans had an error message come up on both of them. 5mins passed and still no one came to assist like it kept saying. Woman using the other self scan went to ask for help and the woman was shouted at for 'skipping the queue' in the rudest tone. Finally came over to help to then treat us like idiots as we should have known we can use the MANAGEMENT TILL BARCODE left on the side to just sort ourselves out. I asked about why I couldn't find a special delivery stamp and was simply told no can't do that, only by queing. After seeing the queue was now at least a 20min wait I gave up. Went somewhere else where I was served in 5mins and out the door. Organisational skills - 0 Staff friendliness - 0 Cleanliness - disgusting, rubbish everywhere! I understand it can be busy and that there was only one person but this is the main post office in the high street and it's always awful! It's a shame as it won't get better as everyone has to use it as there isn't another choice.

Can fully agree with the reviews below.. always been understaffed.. even the self service is not manned at certain times which means even someone coming to so a simple 1st class letter has to wait 15-20 mins in a queue. No other option near the high street so unfortunately stuck with substandard service.

I was going to write a review about 9 months when the cashier was incredibly rude when I wasn't even complaining about the long wait that time but I thought let's not be negative. This time I just went to pick up a parcel where you can only do so from cashier 6 but this isn't written anywhere so I queued up as normal and then had to wait even longer when called to cashier 3 because he couldn't get my parcel. When I finally got seen the cashier was unapologetic and rude. The queue was endless and the post office is so under staffed its shocking, moreover the staff they do have are obviously under stress from mostly angry customers who have to wait 45 minutes to be seen and as a result seem moody and rude. I never come here anymore and I was so upset I had to pick up my parcel from this branch I hope that's a one off because nothing seems to improve.
