Like Monkhill, improvements are needed on the station. Two trains a day each way is pathetic. When the third arrives, it'll help but will still be pathetic. Passengers do help but I think Friends of Pontefract Stations will help by campaigning and raising funds and resources for Pontefract's four stations.

It may now be the least busiest, but unlike Monkhill and Tanshelf, it has a ticket office, and when I was a kid there used to be a ticket master sat in that office.
