Castleford needs platform two reopened along with the bridge. There is an opportunity for a service to York to reappear. One of the fast trains between Sheffield, Wakefield Kirkgate, and Leeds will be diverted via Wakefield Westgate. The current service could continue to Normanton, Castleford, Church Fenton, and York. The trains between Leeds and Knottingley are likely to continue to Doncaster soon, Askern being the extra call.
