Serving legendary brunches, lunches, salads and coffees through the day before shifting gear in the evening to become one of Bristols most atmospheric tapas bars. Great atmosphere in a cozy setting. Absolutely blown away by the food! Super creative and thoughtful combinations of flavours and ingredients. I highly recommend the fish dishes! Service is slower paced so its suitable for a more relaxing dinner vibe.Food: 5/5
Really lovely little restaurant. Went here for a lunch on Sunday. The service was attentive and the food exceptional. Very fresh, it’s written on a blackboard where all the ingredients come from. It felt like a nice mix between an English Sunday lunch served in a tapas/sharing style. Also a very good selection of local beers. Would definitely recommend and would definitely come back.
Great tasting and creative dishes with a great focus on sustainability. We had the ‘Root to fruit’ set menu which was entirely vegetarian - thoroughly enjoyed every dish there was and cannot fault a single detail.
My boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary, straight away we were greeted by really lovely staff and some prosecco. We both had the Root To Fruit sharing menu which was such an amazing experience. Most of the dishes we had I couldn't get photos of because of how good they tasted and how quickly we ate them! Would definitely reccomend going here, it is a beautiful place with food like no other and wonderful staff.
We have been coming here whenever we are in Bristol for years. Always on point, experimental, healthy and delicious! If you are a veggie you are well catered for. We tried the parsnip mousse which was fantasticFood: 5/5
Delicious seasonal food and lovely atmosphere. There's a choice of 2 set sharing menus, Nose to Tail or Root to Fruit v/vg celebrating the seasonal bounty of the network of small scale food producers Poco work with. Every dish was so tasty! Great flavours, sauces and super creative use of ingredients. We loved it!
Stumbled across this on a trip to Bristol, a superb restaurant. Great local food, fantastically made and a great atmosphere. Also dog friendly which was great for our puppy and local beer friendly, which was great for me
One, this isn't a traditional tapas bar. Two, it's not Spanish or Mediterranean cuisine if that's what you're expecting. It's a farm to table restaurant serving a set menu one vegetarian, one not so don't come expecting to choose from a variety of tapas. The choices are made for you, some of them quite adventurous think beef tongue, braised ewe. Lastly, the service is REALLY slow. Our meal took all of two hours, most of it waiting for something to arrive mains, wine. The food here is undeniably well-executed, but the overall experience disappoints.
This restaurant has been on my "must go" list for a while and an impromptu visit on a damp Tuesday evening could not have been better rewarded! Wine served by the carafe is perfect for when you don't want a whole bottle and it was served by a wonderful friendly and efficient member of staff. As was the food. Oh the food! A leek hummus with hazelnut dukkah served with sourdough was an incredible start, fresh and flavoursome and if we had left then I would have been sated. But we ordered mackerel with salsa Verde and the fresh salsa cut through the oily fish perfectly. The mussels we ordered came with more sourdough and a rich tomato sauce that demanded thorough mopping up. We had olives too - good quality ones that didn't feel like "filler" on the menu. Then there the potatoes - skin on roasted to perfection served with the lightest alioli that was absolutely hands down the best I've ever had. We rolled out the door glowing with good food vibes. Definitely going to return.
Excellent meal, we had the veggie tasting menu with one addition of the salt hake. We loved the food and the excellent cocktails and were absolutely stuffed by the end of the meal, definitely recommend! Vegetarian options: The vegetarian tasting menu was fantastic - seasonal produce, interesting flavours and so filling!
