The Kitchen

About

An ethical vegan and veggie cafeteria for lovely food, great coffee and a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, in Bristol City Centre, close to Broadmead and St Nicks Market. Dogs welcome!

Story

The Kitchen is a relaxed and inspiring space – a perfect oasis from the chaos and busyness of Bristol City Centre.

We're on Silver Street, just off the up and coming Nelson Street, in the old fire station building (look out for the big red doors!). We're next door to Laser Fusion (used to be called Laser Quest).
We serve a cracking breakfast menu and at lunch time our counter is bustling with fresh, ethically sourced food. Great for a long lunch with friends or to grab and go if you're chained to your desk...

If you're looking for an event space in central Bristol we could be the place for you. The Kitchen is spacious with plenty of room for formal dining, partying, corporate launching etc.

And the best bit is that while your taste buds are having the time of their lives, you can also feel good knowing that The Kitchen is part of the YMCA charity and exists to offer volunteering, training and employment opportunities to young people who have faced real difficulties in life. So by buying a coffee from us you are supporting these young people to live full lives and fulfil their potential.

Lovely little laid back YMCA cafe serving vegetarian food. The vegetarian kitchen burger with cheddar cheese I ordered was delicious and came served with skin on fries and no-mayo coleslaw. Also offers a lot of vegan options.
Brightest student friendly community restaurant and there is some management changes in the future it's writing its press

I'm not a veggie but the food here was really good and the setting for a cafe is great! I would definitely return.
This place is great. They use really fresh good quality ingredients and all of us had delicious meals. Plus it is a social enterprise too.
Good warm lunch with a fresh, crispy and varied side salad. But the best bit was the brownie, cherry cheesecake or almond & pumpkin were available when I went and they were a beautiful balance of dense and moist without being sickly sweet.
