It’s my first time trying a vegan burger and it’s soooo amazing!! Totally better and tastier than any other beef burger. The beans are very delicious and spicy just right. Highly recommend the spicy burger! The chips are great too It may take over 40 minutes at weekend lunch time. Go early or go on weekdays
My daughter being a vegan suggested this local co-operative Vegan Cafe for our breakfast, luckily got a table for two, phew.. Freshly prepared food and locally ethically sourced is wonderful to see and even though I'm not a vegan, I totally support these not-for-profit businesses and workers, well done! The staff were absolutely brilliant, very friendly and welcoming and informed us of the wait for our breakfasts before we ordered which is so appreciated and not often done anymore. Her Flat Latte and my double shot Latte were perfect and full of flavour. Our Full Kino breakfasts were so tasty and absolutely delicious! Very funky and rustic decor inside and highly recommended for a truly wonderful Vegan breakfast and lovely tasty coffees. Thank you to all the staff for such a great experience and place, well done! Definitely having the cakes next time...
For breakfast this is a pure vegan place and food is ok. Prolly a heaven for vegans / vegetarians.. We had full breakfast no eggs and BLT sandwich. Taste wise 3/5. Price wise 2/5. Curly fries were 3.5£ barely had 4 pieces of chips pic attached. Tasty breakfast was good - this was 10£ Americano 2.8£ Chocolate brownie was stale 2.5£ Service wise 1/5 . Although the service men were extremely courteous. It took one hr for our food to arrive even though most of the stuff is pre made / processed. Like vegan sausage, beans, bread. Not really sure why food took so longZ even though on the kitchen there were 4 ppl preparing food. Likely due to inexperience chefs. However this has been mentioned in other posts too. If coming here be prepared to spend 2 hrs at a minimum
All vegan coop cafe that gives me Berlin vibes. Very buzzy on Sunday morning brunch time. The breakfast we had [small vegan British and a breakfast muffin] was solid 3.5 coffee was not particularly great tho. They also have Club Mate, which was my special highlight drink here. The most annoying part is that there’s an open kitchen, that clearly lacks a better extraction system, we could smell all the “burning” and cooking happening on the stove. On the positive side: Super affordable prices and friendly staff
Great place for breakfast. Large portions, good price, and food very tasty : mushrooms are well prepared I loved that it's a co-op cafe since 2004!!! 10/10 Vegetarian options: Vegan Full English Breakfast
Nice place in Stokes Croft. Staff friendly and food was good. I ordered Garlic Chkn Burger with Curly Fries. Would recommend. Only draw back is the lack of air conditioning or fans especially given how hot it was. Would happily visit again.
Wow what a find!! We didn’t fancy queuing in the rain for the cafe opposite so came into Cafe Kino instead. I don’t think it’ll be long until there are queues outside this place as well. Super friendly staff, nice atmosphere with lots of space, you’re not cramped in like most breakfast places on this road Good music, and the food was incredibly tasty. Both myself and my friend aren’t vegans but loved the breakfast and will certainly make this place a regular stop for food. Great value as well. For two of us, we had two big breakfasts, plus a coffee and an orange juice each and it was only £30.. this is whether spoons territory without the grease. These guys have got it spot on, simple straight forward menus with a good base set of choices which makes choosing what you want super easy. We will be back for lunch there as well as the lunch menu looked equally as nice.
Simple but delicious vegan food. Welcoming and laid-back atmosphere, with a great story behind the cafe.
Went for lunch and dinner, cannot get enough of this place! We travel to Bristol specifically to visit Cafe Kino because it’s so amazing. Worth it every time, the staff are really friendly, the food is full of flavour and actually good for you nothing is at all oily/greasy. We had the classic kino bean burgers, BLT, sausage sandwich, chips, cinnamon bun and banana & raspberry cake. You will never be disappointed especially for such a good price
Quality vegan spot with a banging breakfast. Ordered quite a few times here during lockdown also, burgers are unreal. All-round decent food, and loads of sweet treats usually too.
