Built in 1704, originally as a wayside inn, the hotel has over the centuries become steeped in history and is recalled by many as being one of the most popular places to stay in Birmingham during the last few decades. This privately owned hotel has undergone substantial refurbishment and is once again regaining it's historic position as a prominent and sought after hotel in Birmingham

A lovely, well maintained hotel. Staff were friendly, polite and professional and the vegan afternoon tea was lovely. We will definitely be returning.
Great location just outside the city centre. Very spacious rooms and fantastic value. Good check in and checkout times and very chic interior in the communal areas. Highly recommend this hotel for your stay
Very welcoming and helpful staff and clean rooms. Even accommodated us for afternoon tea for four people at short notice even though we seemed to be pressured and hurried to pay without being asked if we needed anything else. Overall though highly recommended
Lovely afternoon tea with homemade cakes and sandwiches... attentive staff and a nice setting...would certainly recommend the scones with jam and clotted cream.
A friendly, welcoming hotel with a homely atmosphere, nice clean room and for an affordable price.
