After an issue with our online booking, the staff went out of their way to fit us in on a very busy day. Enjoyed the food and a nice setting too - a 15th century coaching inn. Would visit again

Our experience was not up to it's normal standard. Service was very poor and food took a long time to arrive, there was a half an hour difference between everyone getting their food on our table. It wasn't a particularly busy evening and one waitress in particular was quite blunt. We had one burnt pizza and one order completely wrong. One of our pizzas was completely forgotten and was undercooked when it finally arrived, however it was discounted from the bill. The cutlery and cups were dirty with visible water spots. Overall, not a very pleasent experience compared to what we are used to in this restaurant as normally there is not a problem.

Not the best experience. Maybe it was a one off.. Booked a table for 6 people including a 7 year old and a 3 year old. Arrived on time but had to wait 25 mins for a table among other diners as there is no waiting area. Finally seated and ordered. During the meal, one starter was forgotten, one drink forgotten, and only one dessert ordered and got no spoon with it. We did get a discount for the wait but the whole experience was underwhelming.

Lovely cosy place, I particularly like that they always do my favourite Pollo con funghi even though it's not on the menu. As promised if you ask for it they do it for you!
