Awful service, got my order wrong twice and tried to blame it on me. The first waiter came along with wrong order and when I said I didn't order that all he did was give it to another waiter to bring over. Same thing happened with the dessert. I had to wait an extra 15 mins for my food to arrive and when it did it was not worth it. Undercooked and bland so very disappointing, also they never asked another person in my party how they wanted their steak cooked and delivered an extremely well done steak which was tough and tasteless. Also they sat us down and never gave us a menu so we had to wait 15mins for them to actually pay attention to us, even when it was not busy there were only about 4 tables full The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the dessert was the best part of the whole experience but the service and main course was so poor it ruined everything.
A very noisy canteen type environment. Had bruschetta to start, it was so hard I could barely cut into it without it shooting off the plate. The chicken for my main course was extremely dry. The wine was good but the waiters were slow and disinterested! Not the place for me.
The food is really good here, service fast and friendly. Lovely big restaurant so even when it's busy it's not too hectic. Go! Beats all the chain Italians in Hertford hands down.
Unfortunately it will have to be rather negative review. It is very hard to get a restaurant business wrong in Hertford, we do love to go out and dine out and we are all quite forgiving, but Unico is quite average for a brand new restaurant. Menu is a bit poor and food is really old fasion......sorry guys ; over priced as well. The guys working there were lovely though. Even Pizza Express is better i would say. They claim to be family friendly, but no kids menu either......will not be returning.....
Just had a lovely evening meal with my partner. I had a pasta dish with the italian sausage and a side of saute potatoes and my partner had a pizza with chicken and salami. Food was excellent and had a nice bottle of wine. All staff were really friendly. We had a waiter Raul who was very friendly and helpful especially when I asked about food intolerances. A lovely evening. Woul recommend to family and friend. Looking forward to our next meal. Thank you.
Wow! We’ve been twice and would keep going! Great service with a smile, great food and great atmosphere! The bread and butter pudding special is the best I’ve ever had! By far! Thanks guys! Keep it up!
Busy, bustling Italian restaurant in the middle of Hertford. Has a mix of classic and modern Italian dishes on the menu. I had a starter and main which were ok although I was too full for dessert afterwards. Food took a while to appear but was eased by the decent wine we knocked back!
Very pleasant interior design with impressive see through underground cellar at the entrance. Our waiter was very nice guy. Food was ok, we did like our wine Rose Pump Grigio.
Thee food is fantastic the person who looked after us, jade i think her name was she is was so helpful and informative, very polite and went the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed our visit. Will definitely be coming back again.
About 12 waiters to tend to your every need. Great menu & atmosphere. Food arrives quickly & is very tasty.
