Arrived from London & needed something to eat that my child would also eat! Pizza Express is always the safest option. We arrived around 7.15pm & was told they’d be closing at 8pm which was fine. Waiter was really nice and chatty, answered my questions & was attentive re: intolerants. I had a voucher on my rewards for a free pizza that didn’t seem to work but he rectified it his end so I didn’t miss out, which I thought was kind.
Had a wonderful lunch here. I had reserved a table, but had difficulty with travel - I called ahead, and they were kind enough to keep my reservation saved for me past the 15 minute expiry given on the booking website. All the staff were wonderful; welcoming, accommodating and clearly working incredibly hard, as being a bank holiday, they were in extremely high demand. I do hope their efforts are recognised for running such a tight ship. The food was all outstanding, with some of the new menu items being highlights. We will definitely be back.

Just eaten at this fabulous pizza express in the west quay shopping centre, Southampton. We were greeted immediately & sat down in a perfect area overlooking the centre. Thomas came over & took our order. He was fantastic, asked how we were, lovely smile & manner & interacted just perfectly with the three of us. He remembered that my mum didn’t like ice in her water-maybe only a small thing to some but important to my mum. Drinks arrived promptly & our pizzas 15 mins afterwards. They were perfect. Thomas checked all was ok with the food. Despite being busy he was extremely personable & made such a difference to the overall experience. Thankyou Thomas
This place is superb. The BEST staff! Ola, Beata, Zoe, Thomas...first rate people. Top grub too.
The pesto dough balls were particularly incredible! We got sat in a really nice place, especially considering it was only two of us. And Aleksandra was absolutely fantastic, really went above and beyond and was just genuinely lovely. I’m not someone who usually writes reviews but her service made me want to write one!Food: 4/5
Never again in Southampton branch, our starter came relatively quick, But our main never turned up after 1 hr, when I asked for our meal we have been told the staff was on break so we had to wait for another 10 min, she was so rude no apology, we told her we are not waiting anymore so we paid for our drinks and starter and left. Bad service!!!!!!!
