It's an ok place, standard Weatherspoons, and a friendly manager. Food was hot and quickly served. Beers ok for range. It's a drop in with family and grab a bite and drink. Toilets not fully clean, but appreciate busy. Not easy to move through at times if your disabled. So should consider this if seat planning.
Beautifully cooked breakfast. Amazingly quick service. Can't fault. This is where Wetherspoons absolutely ace things. You get what you are expecting, and that's what brings you back.Food: 5/5

Breakfasts are good staff friendly we've been having lunch here recently and the quality is excellent and consistent. UPDATE SEE END OF REVIEW buffalo Wings, Southern Fried Chicken Strips both served with sides and dips are excellent and full of flavour. Wife loves the fresh fish and chips. Getting difficult to find a seat lunchtime as the odd drinker will sit nursing their beverage and a newspaper in a bay which stops a full four places from being free for diners. Alas after several well below par meals over a period of months we no longer eat here such a shame as we used to eat here three times a week.UPDATE..... popped in again now they have a different manager. Food was good and arrived at table quickly. Young lady who brought food to table was happy and friendly. We had chicken wings with a hot sauce. Only thing that puts us off are the people hacking their guts up as you eat your meal Took our grandson for a meal food and service were both excellent but not the Pilgrim looks tired weary and in need of a major refurb come on owners make the premises shine like the new staff do!
Being in the town centre, the atmosphere isn't always great but the staff always more than make up for any odd vibes in the pub, they're lovely and brilliant at what they do!Food: 4/5
My son ordered American style pancakes and the staff decided it would be funny to joke that they didn’t have any pancakes which made my child visibly upset then the bartender decided he would say they have no fruit and said it was true now we get on to the worst part my child didn’t like his food the syrup tasted like cinnamon and the pancakes were chewy like rubber my child only ate 2 pancakes and left the rest he was upset.This place is abysmal do not go here do not recommend
11 inch pizza wasn't cooked properly it was soggy and very much like dough not edible at all staff didn't even want to check with us food has gone down hill badly not eating in there again very disappointed avoid eating in this one at all costs save your money for a professional cooked pizza. Was kept waiting 30 minutes for food to arrive and came out shocking not even cooked properly fuming shocking service drinks are your safest bet stay away from the food there
The usual value for money with no added frills. Not my favourite spoons, but seems to be popular with locals. Nice leaded lights and small frontage with pedestrianised area.
