I am not one to complain about establishments, but today I am absolutely appalled by the harsh treatment that my mother recieved in the shop, My mother owns an animal sanctuary and adores every animal that enters our sanctuary. Today, she went to pets at home to adopt a small critter from the rehoming section, so that they would have a home for Christmas and a forever home at our sanctuary. A robroski hamster, gerbil and rabbit were the only animals left and when my mum asked if she could adopt all three, they denied her and told her the reason was about settling in purposes. My mum has been running a sanctuary since 2018, she isn't inexperienced with dealing with animals, we have had animals from terrible backgrounds and have turned them around because of her. I am not at all blaming the young man who served my mother, this was not his fault. I am blaming the managers. I understand that some people don't take care of animals, but my mother is not all like that. My mother came home in tears, feeling upset that she was not able to take the other two animals home. My mother decided to take the rabbit home and as you can see from the pictures below, he has already began to settle in. Now that hamster and gerbil will be forced to spend Christmas alone, I find that heartbreaking. No one should have to spend Christmas alone, Animal or human.
Joel Assistant Manager @ St Austell branch is an absolute star. He set up the app on my phone and could not have been more patient and accommodating. A credit to the company. My goto place from now on. 5*
The team are amazing friendly and helpful. The Vets are professional and caring very high level of service from start to finish. Why go anywhere else!
Really good service, especially when I needed advice about what to buy for my rabbit. However, it is v pricey and I took ten pounds with me and I could only afford three items. Despite this, they are good quality and work really well for him. I couldn't decide between 3 or 4 stars to give so on the basis of price I have put a 3. But on service and quality it is very good. If you have a big budget this is the place for you!
Manager was useless , came to bring back one of there extendable leads that keeps jamming , I didnt have the receipt but used my loyalty card , however last couple of times pets at home had not been able to find my loyalty card details. Manager refused to take back without a receipt even though all I wanted was a simple exchange, she said call customer service to chase details on loyalty card as proof of purchase. I explained for some reason now my loyalty card can not be found... she searched it couldnt find my loyalty card details. So said call customer service. I leave to call customer service and you can't speak to anyone at customer service anymore.nAbsolutely useless , they can not be bothered to do anything anymore. The manager did not offer to help call customer services to help trace the purchase or my loyalty card just simply passed it back to ourselves and refused the exchange.nTerrible service.
