A little more expensive than shopping online but the staff are great and they have a good selection for dogs. The manager could do with a crash course on 'how to smile' though.

I go to this shop when I need flea treatment for my hens or dog food and treats .I think the customer service has improved over the last few years .I used to avoid going there because I've had bad experiences from buying pets from them .I bought a baby rabbit from them some yrs ago and it died .The staff were very rude to me in front of my son they implied that I had done something wrong even though I breed rabbits for show. post mortem showed that the rabbit had been fed with Pets at home food and had not been fed on what the rabbit had been reared on causing the rabbits digestive system to become sensitive and bloat .Rabbits should be introduced to new food very gradually just like any animal should .They also wanted me to buy a rabbit hitch for the rabbit I bought saying it was their policy not to sell animals unless the cages were bought from them .I had told them that I had 3 very large cages with legs and runs in my garden she'd and showed them photographs as proof .None of the hitches were big enough for a rabbit not were they earn enough nor weather proof .It's worth spending a little more on a hitch that's made of wood that can't be gnawed on .Is weather proof large enough for your pet to stand up on back legs .Has two separate compartments and enough room to have wood shavings and lots of Straw for winter and enough room to stretch and run around and have tunnels and food bowls too .Hutches should be weatherproofed with thick roofing felt and be fitted with a cover for very cold weather .Ideally hutches should be in a shed not a garage or near any toxic fumes .whilst I would buy per products from Pets at Home .I would never but a pet from them nor a flimsy hutch either .

Friendly helpful place. Struggle to find staff at times on the shop floor but always someone on the till.

Good for Wood Cat Litter, when they have it in. They haven't had it in for two months now though. Their website now states you can order it (last week it didn't allow you to) but when you try and pay it says it cannot be delivered to my area, the surrounding areas, or picked up in any of the six or seven stores near me.
