While the logo for this chain is 'Where pets come first' sadly this has not been my experience, and not just at this store. It is true the Pets at Home chain sells a great range of products for our fur, feather and scaly companions, sadly they also sell live animals! Just this week i sadly witnessed a poor baby bunny being taken from his companions, bundled into a box carrier and then get carried away as a mere parcel atop a small cage, presumably for him, bag of food and hay... with him precariously placed on top .. heaven knows what his fate will be! Rabbits should not be kept in cages, it is cruel and inhumane. Contrary to what is said, Rabbits are not 'great starter pets' or pets that are 'great for children', they are highly social, intelligent and sensitive animals who need a great deal of care and attention. They should not be sold in pet shops in a bid to make a profit! Come on Pets at Home....let's stop the cruel sale of live animals in your stores, there are so many bunnies, hamsters, mice, exotics etc.who have been dumped who need loving forever homes in rescue centres up and down the country - put your efforts into getting them rehomed and stop the sale of all living animals in your stores....please.

The help I have had as been out standing, I and that's why I go there. They got every thing I need for my fish tank, and If not in stick they will look if they still stock it and order it for me. You can't go wrong with pets from home to buy anything you need for your pets or if you have fish, or if always try pets for home first.

Our dogs favourite place, staff are really helpful and always greet our furry friends with a smile and smooth. Lots of variety in food, health care, grooming and most importantly toys. Easy access car park and on site vet.
