Quite a poor branch of an otherwise average chain of pet shops. Staff are generally quite pleasant but the choice of products and animals in store is very limited. 

Tropical and cold water fish, gerbils, and rabbits is the extent of the choice of live animals in store. Probably better off heading to the larger branch in Durham or gateshead. Or going with a local pet shop instead.

Made a right mess of my sisters dog cutting her..
Asked for her face trimmed down abit and they have shaved it to the bare skin..

This review is in regards to the groom room. My cockapoo puppy recently went there for her first 'professional' groom. Being such a big company we had presumed the service would be outstanding. However, upon seeing our dog after her groom, we noticed various large bald patches on her legs & on her chest area which is completely unacceptable for those who call themselves 'professional stylists'. I would not recommend this service to anyone and would urge you to go elsewhere.

Today went into pets a home in consett today wed 28th sep to get my grandaughter gold fish sales assistant was brilliant couldn't felt her travels back home from consett to burnhope and the fish are dead not just one but all I have just called to store and the snotty little upstart has told me I should of read the bag as it's my falt the fish have died even though they were took straight home from the store I sed I will be phoning head office and her response was ok and hung up well it will be safe to say I won't be getting my pets from there anymore and yes I will be phoning head office ....
