Pete is a decent, straightforward and honest person. His shop is an asset to the community whether one can get off-island easily or not. If you want smarmy sales talk and 'have a nice day' approach Portland is not the place to do your shopping. End of story.

Pete is one of the nicest, friendliest and more to the point, helpful people I have ever met. He will not sell you something unless he is sure it is what you need, a level of honesty that is hard to find these days. Just noticed other peoples feedback, he KNOWS he does not have a website. Just because some ignorant people don't know the difference between a website and a Google search review does not make him rude! I stand by my initial review and am upset by people trying to cause damage to a small business through ill thought out malicious comments.

A man who thinks that he doesn't have a website!   Chooses to be rude to customers.  Must only enjoy a small click of local people who are unable to get of Portland to go a decent shop.
