Absolute joke of a service. I called up as I have a massive hole in one of my teeth, severe pain radiating from my jaw all the way up to my ear and forehead. I'm taking so much medication I'm in danger of overdosing. Woman on reception bluntly says; sorry but you don't meet the criteria for emergency treatment, our funding has been cut and we've lost a dentist. So I asked her what criteria I would have to meet if that wasn't enough... "Oh, I can't tell you that, you'd know if you had other symptoms". My reply was that I'm not a dentist so I wouldn't know if I had other symptoms, of for example, an infected tooth. "Oh, you'd know if you had them" she came back. Altogether zero empathy, care or emotion in this woman. I'm not surprised your finding had been cut if this is the level of care you provide.

Rang 111 and was told to ring these guys as I am no longer registered with a dentist surgery, and as I need a emergency filling (I hope it’s going to be a filling and not a crown!). 111 and a few various others told me this centre could help me with my cracked tooth, it’s quite sharp and painful and very open to getting infection as it’s cracked almost in half. I’ve also got two impacted wisdom teeth that frankly I didn’t even get the chance to mention. Basically was on the phone waiting for 15-20 minutes, which is probably normal for NHS lines but as soon as they answered the phone I was just told that I can’t get the treatment done, they’ve had cuts so the boss has tightened the belt-didn’t really investigate what I had said just basically turned me away. Then I was told my contact details could be taken incase anyone has an appointment cancellation but was already told that I didn’t fit their criteria anyway and they weren’t doing the treatment, so why was that relevant? (I don’t blame the receptionist she was just doing her job but the management and NHS, they need to look at themselves.) Overall it’s another badly run, underfunded, overused NHS practice. Maybe the NHS should actually go private and stop charging us National insurance etc. so we can actually afford to just go and get the treatments done instead of just serving anyone regardless of whether they pay the taxes which actually pay for the treatment, or not, and neglecting people who actually do work hard for the ‘privilege’ of their own healthcare.

On Tuesday the 9/1/2018 I was suffering a lot of pain from a bad tooth. I had tried several dentists for an appointment to no avail.I was referred to the Dental Access Centre and I was able to get an appointment. I must congratulate the Centre on the friendliness of the reception staff and the efficiency of the dentist. My tooth broke and the dentist did a great job in removing it. Without the centre I would have been left in pain without any means of resolving the issue. My sincere thanks to all concerned.

Went in with big abscess. 9 months later I'm having the tooth out at hospital . I think it's bad that prices in dentistry is so high that not many can afford to have procedures done . It seems that no-one wants nhs paying customers and those that do have huge waiting lists .
