as this was the first time I had visited, I called and asked if I could wait whilst my dog was groomed and was told I ould. I explained he had already been bathed and just needed trimming. The receptionist didn't sound keen on this, but agreed they would assess when I arrived. I arrived promptly and the groomer agreed my dog was clean. I got the initial impression I was not welcomed to wait (by the same receptionist I had spoken to initially), but not one to be cowed. I said I had never used them before and wanted to see how they operated. I found out! My dog was caged for 30 minutes. When I objected to this, explaining my dog finds being caged distressing, the receptionist told me it was because he wasn't being bathed (?!) I said if I had known, I would have taken him for a walk. 'Well, he's not whining, so I'd just leave him' she said (not that either of us would be able to hear). Shortly afterwards a groomer came out and I asked how much longer before he was groomed as if it wasn't in the next few minutes I would leave. I was told at least another half an hour. Needless to say ......
