Spend time with us for great pub food in a place you'll love. We serve classic dishes with a modern twist - it's the perfect place to get together with familly and friends. Built in the 1850s, Pentrebach House is a Grade II listed building. We serve up freshly cooked, tasty pub classics and are especially popular in the sunny weather as we benefit from the largest beer garden in the area - ideal for al fresco dining. Sarah, our Head Chef has worked here for over 20 years and makes sure that all the food which comes out of her kitchen is of the highest quality and absolutely delicious! So next time you're visiting Brecon Mountain Railway, Bike Park Wales or local artisan distillery Penderyn, make sure to stop by!

As the manageress was the loudest and most unruly out of the team and louder than the guests as she was laughing and messing about with staff in an unprofessional way; no surprise that this place is awful! Food bland and served 'en-process' with no human touch at all; more robotic and I would have preferred a robot serving me here as it would have been more genuine. Really expensive for 'ping' (already prepared) food and a pie has a top and a bottom, not a crumble top so be careful if you want to order a pie. The chicken 'pie' is not a pie. Apparently, the 'pies' have won an award. Can you imagine if I asked who awarded the award, when and the sample size? A robot would have told me but not this bunch, I suspect. Dreadful and won't be returning. Ask Alexa for a takeaway and save yourself the expense.

Food is nice but staff a bit odd. Booked online for restaurant and was told on arrival that there was no table available even though the restaurant was practically empty all night! We were given a table in the bar and a rather noisy young lady with no waitress in skills whatsoever served us. The breakfast was being setup on a buffet table next to our table and the noise was incredible as staff gossiped and threw cutlery around, yelling instructions to each other across us as if we were in the way. I've been before and had a better experience.

Very good service as the place was packed. Large carparking area free as its right next to a Premier Inn. I have visited before and stayed and ate here. Very good and popular.

Linked to the Premier inn hotel but a great place for a few beers and a meal (or breakfst). Just make sure that you book in advance as tables can become a rarity! Also has decent outdoor space for when it's warm.

Solid family fare. Good quality main course but was a little disappointed by dessert - a promising Rocky Road Sunday that just didn't deliver for me, but that could be personal taste. A lovely spot with a great outdoor beer garden and eating area for sunny days. Great value, good sized portions and attentive service.
