We've just come back from spending two weeks at Penlan Bach. The accommodation was fabulous and was equalled by the hospitality of Pat and Rob. We had everything we needed. It was comfortable, spacious and we enjoyed the Welsh Cakes and sweets on arrival. Eating breakfast on the balcony overlooking the garden was wonderful. Having somewhere secure and dry to store our bikes gave us peace of mind. An added bonus was the availability of a wireless internet connection which enabled us to keep in touch with the outside world during our stay. We would heartily recommend Penlan Bach to anyone who is interested in visiting the Brecon Beacons area.
We found this accommodation via the Brecon Beacons National Park website, without reading any comments at all. Already the email contacts preceding our stay convinced us that we would meet very nice and friendly hosts. When we arrived our expectations in this respect were met perfectly, and we found an apartment which just cannot be improved any more. Back home we read in the comments on Google that all of the previous guests thought the same. Nothing can be added to these comments, it is all true - and more than that! Everything one could want in self-catering accommodation, including superb Welsh cakes and home-made marmalade. A wonderful welcome to a magnificent area. Very highly recommended.
Wonderful friendly place to stay. Very clean and comfortable self catering accommodation. All you could possibly need and more. Lovely balcony for alfresco dining. Beautiful and peaceful location
