A great range of family activities and landscape is available here. From golf, ski centre, cycling, great woodland trails and access to a really fabulous beach. We descended upon the Visitor Centre to grab our illustrated map of the country park, but we stayed for fresh coffee and some great value sanswiches from the kitchen. All delivered by a great, friendly staff team. Even out of season this will be a favourite family fun and exercise location...
This was a beautiful experience. There were lots of people there but it felt safe with covid regulations. It was lovely to see the lights and the special effects. Looking forward to seeing what you do next year. The free entry was wonderful too :
A brilliant day out. The crazy golf is great - miniature features from round the park. Also great walks for the dogs on the beach and round the woods. Some historic WWI and WWII round the park
Forest full of WWII military relics and beautiful trails from fire roads to single-track. Miles of fabulous sandy beach and dunes. Activities from model railway to ski slope with bike hire, national closed road cycling track, hose riding and more. Campsites are both excellent too.
Pembrey county park is huge, with a lot to do if the weather is right. We went in winter and it was raining and very windy but still enjoyed a wind swept walk. You can get to the beach here, go for a walk in the forest, go on a minature train, play crazy golf to name a few. Most of these were closed as out of season but the cafe was open at the visitor centre. Loads of places to have a picnic and the beach is huge. The one down side we found as we went on a whim is that you need a map no phone reception at the beach end but is we found itat the visitor centre as this place is so big it's easy to not actually find what you are looking for, and there is loads and loads of parking. We paid £3.50 for the day as stayed over the two hours.
Such a gorgeous beach! Be warned, that shipwreck is an optical illusion! It never seems to get any closer the more you walk towards it! Haha! We had a beautiful woodlands walk to and food at the end. A cracking day’
Excellent country park with an amazing coastline. Lots of activities from skiing, tobogganing and mini golf. The adventure playground is great with plenty of picnic benches. A small mini railway and a great cafe. Camping is great here too. The beach is amazing with lifeguard patrols in the summer.
What a fantastic park and beach. We only visited the beach which is a humongous sweep of fine white sand, stretching as far as the eye can see in both directions. We parked in one of the numerous car parks. Very shallow sea there so great for children, paddling and swimming. The park itself was huge, clean, green and immaculate. An all day parking ticket was £7 and you can leave the site for lunch or run to the shops and return with no extra charge. The exit cameras recognise your number plate and let you through... Marvellous!
Something for everyone, historic site of the ROF with parts of the old underground stations still visible and it has been a public country park since the 60s, It also houses the llanelli and district model engineers club with a miniature steam railway, with bi annual rallies and various exhibitors, classic vehicles and road going steam engines. There's an expansive beach that land yachts use a section of but its around 7 miles long so room for everyone with timber shipwrecks, huge forested and wooded area just past the dunes, superb for walking, cycling etc. There's a Small charge for vehicles to enter the park, payable at kiosks with ANPR, but there's plenty of parking once you're inside. There's a dry ski slope with toboggan run, cafe, ice cream, the list of things to see and do goes on and on........ Dog-friendliness: Massive wooded walks, beach areas for dogs
Huge area to explore. Beautiful beach. Events held in the park. Cafe service outside very slow, better to go in for take away.
