Pembrey Country Park Caravan and Motorhome Club Site
"Set on the edge of a 520-acre country park, Pembrey Country Park campsite is a great spot for a family holiday. Within easy reach of a stunning 7-mile stretch of Blue Flag sandy beach, you can spend your days exploring the coastline and building sandcastles. If you want to stay closer to the campsite, the country park has plenty to offer with an equestrian centre, dry-ski slope with toboggan ride, miniature railway and adventure playground to keep the kids busy. There is also plenty for adults, with a superb Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course just 4 miles away and a variety of birds and butterflies to spot in the local area."

This beach is great. It has fine sand for building fans castles. Also it is huge and goes on for what seems miles. With the forest and parks nearby it is great for families and anyone wanting a mix of different activities. The beach was nice and clean, apart from a decomposing deer. The sea had a very shallow and steady deepening, therefore you can paddle easily. Would happily visit many times during a holiday. One of the best beaches I've been to in the UK.
We stayed here for the first time for a few days at the end of September/beginning of October. We've had rain, gales and nice sunshine but, whatever the weather, for walking the dogs or cycling, it is a wonderful site, with easily accessible seemingly endless tracks! The wardens are all very friendly and extremely helpful too. There's a huge variety of trees around the site for different birds and wildlife which makes for a lovely dawn chorus even this time of year. We are so impressed with site and area too and, as we always stay put and look for sites with nice walks from the site, we are going to book a week in the spring! Definitely recommend.
Beach is miles long and the is relatively flat so pretty perfect. The campsite is clean and tidy with good showers and facilities. Family friendly. Nearby activities: Beach, cycle, dry slope, children's play areas and the coastal path is all within the park.
Great for a family day out, Fantastic beach & forest walks our dog loved both & so did weLocation: 5/5
Lovely clean, tidy site. Pitches well spaced out and set out nicely. Usual high standard toilet and shower block. Pizza van visits Friday evenings which are very tasty.
Stayed here over a weekend and it's an easy walk into the country park from here. Friendly staff and an on site pizza stall on a Friday evening was a tasty bonus! Well maintained and spacious pitches, thoroughly enjoyed.
Pembrey Country Park has one of the nicest areas if you like the open country life. It has acres and acres of parkland to enjoy with camping sites dotted all over. The country park backs onto one of the longest beaches I have ever seen. I am told unconfirmed that this beach is 10 miles long. It has however, the nicest quality sand very fine. It doesn't matter if you are a large family or a couple enjoying time together this beach will accomodate. In Pembrey Park there is a dry Ski slope which has something for all the family. There is also a cafe at the Ski slope. There is also horse riding and miniature golf. They also have a miniature railway. In the centre of the park there is a cafe serving meals all day up to eight at night. So if you want a walk in the woods, Time on the beach or just chill this is the place for you.
A great place to visit, full of interest and activity for the family...or just for a solo walk on a fantastic beach. We stopped for fresh coffee and great sandwiches from the park Centre. Fresh and great value. Zoey the dog enjoyed her woodland ramble, but was ecstatic with joy at the vista of sea and sand, when we topped the dunes after emerging from woodland. For the more active, you can cycle, ski, play golf or just picnic in the shade...we shall return...!
Great site well looked after, just before the country park. Lots of cycle paths around made it great for getting about. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the facilities are looking a bit dared, but would definitely recommend and will be back again.
Lovely site with great walks, ideal for dogs and children. Also great for walkers.
