I’m forever thankful to P.D.S.A. Basildon for fixing the mess left by Elm House Vets. I’m sure they have been good for some but I can only go by my own experience.nThe P.D.S.A were swift in the repair that my French Bulldog Ethel needed. A drain was placed in her ear immediately to help continue the drainage I had already done manually four times. I needed one more visit after two weeks, to see if her ear would stay deflated.nnAlthough she is ten years old this year and hasn’t got too many years left, I wanted her last few years to be as comfortable as can be.nShe has now been left with a cauliflower ear that won’t stand up anymore and less vigour than she had before but she seems happy.
We took our beloved Rex as he had passed away during the night having turned 18 on April the 7thnThe wait was long but they were so busy but once we were seen my son was treated with respect and given the options of cremation.nWe received Rex back yesterday exactly a week after his passing.nWe will forever be grateful to Basildon PDSAnPhoto of Rex in his younger days
PDSA is a great charity for people and pets in need. It's a good place of support for an emergency and requesting medications within your personal circumstancesnnVisting today, the vet was very helpful and explained to me what are bext steps will be.nnStaff are very friendly and always on hand to give the best care and service that they cannnAlthough rabbits or other exotic pets often need to be referred or be seen by other vets due to PDSA mainly focuses on dogs and cats
Nightmare to get in touch with then when you do have to wait days for reply no good for emergency not in my case anyway, dog passing blood and all they kept saying is they don't class that as an emergency!! Cut a very long story short when finally got my dog seen she has a tumour and can't do anything we just got to wait till she passes away, now to me that's an emergency!!! Totally disgusted with these people and can't help thinking my dog may have had a chance of they didn't keep saying passing blood for weeks is not an emergency!!!
Basically ok. First phone consultation and meds at very good price. Then badly let down as no follow up call as promised and issue with our dog woulda been seen. He's gone now. Not amused. Told receptionist in phone call . Not the decency of a follow up email.
