After my experiance this week this Vets should be shut down! i was accused of abusing his receptionist lies he was expecting a sick old pensioner to pick the dog up by the shoulders in the end he threw the lead at me attempting to hit me with the lead i have since been to another vets who was brilliant i have never known anything like it will never use that place again even for free.

I made enquiries to this vet for 5 dogs I have, one of which is on long term steroids and has been for the last 7 years for a skin condition. My current vet only needs to see my dog once every 4 months which is the legal requirement. My consultation fees are reduced to £19 instead of the full fee because it is simply a continuation of the current careplan and a quick health check that is performed. On speaking to this practice, the initial consultation fee is the highest I've ever come across at £32 and the repeat consultation fee is then £27 which again is higher than I currently pay. The other thing that is startling is that they INSIST on bi monthly checkups for repeat prescriptions. Currently I would pay £57 in repeat consultations for the year with my current practice but if I was foolish enough to move to this vets, I'd end up paying £162! That's without the cost of the steroids my dog needs and for nothing more than I currently receive now. I don't see care for pets or owners in this approach, I see only an unscrupulous profiteering approach to extracting cold hard cash from devoted owners. I'd rather travel the extended distance I do currently to my vets who are very highly regarded than move to this vet just because of it's proximity to my new address.
