Quirky, expansive second hand book shop,  of which there are precious few around these days. Jazz music played loudly adds to the excellent atmosphere. Anyone with a fondness for bookshops will enjoy visiting this one.

You cannot beat the tranquil atmosphere of Paramount Books. This is how bookstores should be, as soon as you walk in it's like entering another wold. A truly remarkable place and a must-visit for book-lovers who want an authentic experience. I always make sure I pop in whenever I see it is open.

The piece of fruit is a nice touch, the books are reasonably varied although he seems to be more for the comic book and sci-fi clientele...I did buy one book but found it ridiculously overpriced
