A cheese lovers paradise, in a relaxed, cozy setting with furnishings made from upcycled palates hence the name. The staff are friendly and chatty if you want to perch at the bar, and quick and efficient if you want to eat at a table. On a warm, sunny evening it's possible to enjoy a drink or small plates or the full menu sitting out at one of the pavement tables.
We asked for a decent red wine. Was told by the inhouse red wine "expert" there was one in particular that was okay. We wanted something decent but he'd thought we'd be satisfied with something that was okay. It was okay, but not what we wanted. We wanted decent, not okay. What is wrong with these self-made wine professionals. Utter hairy faced, hair receding expert of nothingness. Shove your stinking cheese in your armpits. DECENT, not mediocre.
Lovely interior design with wooden pallets furnishings, only went for a coffee/tea which both were great and nicely served. Staff friendly and helpful. Thanks and hopefully be back soon for a tea as I've read some good reviews about the manu
Friendly and slightly different bar/restaurant. Loads of choice in wine and ale, bit more limited in lager. Food is always good. Seats are slightly heavy/unwieldy, being made out of palates and all, but that's the theme so it's OK :-
Used to be great, food now hit and miss. A wine bar but haven't changed the wine list in 2 years.
Great food here, it's expensive but worth it. Elegant plates of food with twists on usual favourite dishes
Fantastic food, great atmosphere, friendly staff!! Highly recommended !!
Beautifully presented and perfectly priced frenchish cuisine
Excellent food and superb wine list.
Gorgeous place, great food and drinks to match
