Known locally as "The Green", Paignton Green provides a welcome parkland buffer between the beach and passing traffic. Back in the 1990s Radio 1 would host their summer roadshow here every August, but there are still numerous other events, fairgrounds and circuses hosted here throughout the year. Even when it is not "in use" The Green provides a fantastic green space for local families and holidaymakers alike. Sadly the surrounding businesses are slowly closing down, which is terrible for the area. The Lighthouse (aka Sports XS) despite being in a prime location has been boarded up for many years and The Park Hotel, dating back to 1884, was recently also boarded up - though investors are possibly turning into residential properties in the future. The shining star of the area will always be The Spinning Wheel and may it never close! If my review was helpful or you agree, please give it a thumbs up 👍🏼
