"Opened in 2008, Pages of Hackney is a small award-winning bookshop on the Lower Clapton Road. We sell an eclectic mix of books in the areas of literary fiction, politics, feminism, essays and life writing as well as philosophy, psychology, nature writing, music and children’s books. Our priority is to be a friendly, welcoming community bookshop that feels accessible and inclusive: we want each customer to feel that the bookshop is for them, and we do our best to give our customers individually as much time and thought as we can. It’s also important to us to support the issues and authors we believe in, and to give a platform to marginalised voices in publishing."

Fantastic little independent bookshop. Really cool and helpful staff. Amazing range considering the size! I went in there after three authors and got all three. Such a great selection too... no wasted shelf space. Go in and pick anything and I'll bet it's worth a read. The young lady working there was a gem. I loved it.
Great bookshop. With a fantastic variety of books. I found exactly what I was looking for. The latest signed Bernadine Evaristo's Manifesto! I also appreciated the friendly service. And got a lovely bag to take my books home. Happy days!
Door is wheelchair accessible but due to the constraints of space, I couldn't get down the sides of the shop to the fiction. Or to the secondhand books downstairs. The staff person was very helpful & there was a really good fan going. The front section of the shop has lots to buy in politics, non fiction, art, afrofuturism, science fiction and I could reach the start of fiction.
Such a cute bookshop with tons of great contemporary fiction titles. The staff are super friendly and helpful and will order books in for you. Skip Waterstones and Amazon and support this important local business - it's great!
Wonderful independent bookshop with knowledgeable staff, great selection of books and lots of great author events.
Fantastic local bookshop - great selection and friendly helpful staff
Best bookshop with the best service and perfect books selection!
Spent quite some time observing all the lovely books that they have, it's super cosy and the staff is also very kind and helpful with finding books you're looking for! Definitely worth a visit <3
A lovely, local, cozy bookshop. Staff willing to assist - if they haven't got something in stock they will try and get it as soon as. They emailed me the very next day for one of my enquiries.
Great support local businesses right now. I can’t wait to pop in and browse. Until then, pick ups and a great outdoor display to stare at
