If you’re a bookworm, this place is heaven. I found a book which was not yet released in the US. Even if you have no intention of buying, you’ll find something that’ll pique your interest. Staff is helpful, too just tell them what you’re looking for and they know where to fish it out. Highly recommended.
After looking at the beautiful selection of books in the window, I couldn’t resist going inside. Found a gorgeous poetry collection I’m excited to read but there were plenty of other books that tempted me too. Definitely worth a stop to explore. Supporting independent bookshops is so important!
This bookshop actually feels like an independent bookshop, with a section of books that are specifically dedicated to Brick Lane or East London. Loved also that there was a whole shelf dedicated to feminism. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable. It was a little too crowded, but to be expected for midday on a Sunday. I couldn't really browse all the books, especially because someone I came with has anxiety in crowded places. Also, how amazing would it have been if the name of the shop and address was also written on the shopfront in Bengali, like the some of the 'Brick Lane' road signs.
The soul of Brick lane. Pretty bookshop with pleasing display. I love the London book corner with specific books of Shoreditch, East London … A destination for book lovers in this vibrant Area
The rating is not for the bookstore as such. They have a decent collection of books and are located at a great spot. Calling out the staff though. Downright racist, unfriendly and lack cultural nuance and context. Such a bad rep for a bookstore.
One of the best independent bookshop in London. And they are my neighbours!!!! And the New Short Stories Competition it's soo amazing. And amazing bookkeepers who will guide you through darkness and show you amazing books, as lanterns towards light. Thank you, thank you
A lovely bookshop in an amazing part of London that has lots of books not seen in other bookshops with very competitive prices. If you buy a book from them they'll put their stamp in it if you ask them to do it. Definitely worth many more visits in the future to browse for more interesting titles.
One of the best book shops I've visited in London. Though it's a small space, they ha e a fantastic selection of books
Small shop with mostly-mainstream and recently-published stuff. Basically, an average airport terminal bookstore and not really worth the walk. The nearby Liberia bookshop is far better for variety. I am intrigued by the classes advertised on the sandwich board outside the shop and reserve my right to revise the rating based on future experience with these.
Great bookshop. They have commercial books as well as books and other items that might not be found at other bookshops. The staff were helpful and the atmosphere was very pleasant at the time. Brilliant place to visit if like me you love bookshops
