I've had a massage here twice now from two different therapist as it's local to me. I've had a lot of massages in my time so I am not easily impressed. However, this place surprised me. Both massages left me wanting more. They really took their time getting to the right spots. Great pressure and very friendly. I'm going back again this morning haha Two things to improve. The smell on the second visit was not the most pleasant. This may have been the drains or toilet. I only stayed as I had a good experience the first time, and glad I did, no regrets. But would have been more pleasant. Also my therapist did exit for a short time to answer the door, which I hate. But she did give me more time. However, I would appreciate not being interrupted.
Wendy gave me a really great deep tissue massage!! I’ve had thousands of massages so I know a good deep one when I find one. Place clean too.
I had very sore shoulders for quiet a few weeks, just walking pass by saw the new massage shop. It was the best massage I ever had. The massage was very strong just likes what I need and it’s very nice quiet environment. The receptionist has been explaining to me how to get ready for my massage and made lovely Chinese tea. When I am finish the massage, she was open the door for me with lovely smiles. It is very friendly place, will go back soon.
There was no consultation or any discussion about if I’m allergic to any oils or if I have any injuries or what my areas of concerns was. My therapist didn’t seem to know any techniques apart from using her elbows and knuckles in my shoulders and neck, not even the basic effleurage to get the body warmed up was applied. Majority of the time was just spent on my neck and shoulders, I wasn’t even covered when laying on the bed, then it was like 5 mins or so on the feet and back of the legs, which again was just her digging with her knuckles. The rest of my body didn’t even get a massage and before I knew it she had finished. I was so shocked at what I just experienced that’s I just said thank you got dressed and left. When going on their website to find an email address to contact them I also noticed that the price was different from what I was changed. They have the massage advertised for £40 but I was changed £45. I’m a qualified therapist my self so I know what a massage should feel like and to me it seemed like the lady was qualified at all.
I would not recommend this business for the following reasons: - masseuse wordlessly and suddenly left the massage half way through to answer the phone. She did not wash her hands or use hand santiser when she returned. - masseuse did not know the name of the massage she was giving me. It felt very odd compared to normal Swedish or deep tissue massages and it hurt. I had to ask her to stop rubbing hard over my spine and bones. I wondered if she had been trained properly. In general there was no conversation about what massage I wanted or whether I had any injuries to know about.
Never coming back, absolutely unprofessional. I went because I had a lot of neck and shoulder pain. The therapist didn't ask what I needed the massage for, she simply started pressing really hard on my back with her elbows and walking on my back until I screamed in pain. She said pain was normal, and I knew that, but it felt a bit excessive. She then made me sit and started massaging my neck, again, very hard. After 20 minutes, the receptionist knocks on the door and says that they overbooked so the masseuse had to go to another client and the receptionist was going to continue with me. I didn't like it but I stayed. However, she had to interrupt the session, leave the room and attend the reception 5 times. She used a special oil on me that she said usually had an extra cost for free and she gave me some extra minutes but I simply didn't care. I just wanted to leave. They left me with bruises on my back that lasted over a week and my shoulders and neck just as tight as before or more. I had to go to another good professional that didn't cause me bruises and actually relieved my pain. I do not recommend this place.
Probably one of the worst massages I have ever had . I’m an active sportsman so I know when it’s a good Thai or Deep Tissue Massage. Elbows for half an hour on my back and some basic rubbing on top of a towel for my legs , nothing on my arms and some stroking of my neck was all I got for £50. I honestly don’t think the lady was a qualified masseuse and if she was , she is not following what she was taught. Very unsatisfactory.
UM EW. please go somewhere else. my 60 minute massage was only 45 minutes long, the massage was really strange.. with a huge focus on my butt.. she left the room twice, once for the phone, once for the front door. both times, she left the massage room door open. and when I left, she was peeing on the toilet with the door open.... um..ew. I am pretty disgusted. I really wish I could get my £60 back, which she took all of although the sign on the counter said that particular massage was £50..
I went with my partner to this lovely new massage health spa. They are very professional and friendly. We both had the luxury massage and felt so relaxed afterwards: We will definitely be booking again soon and happy to give 5 stars to this welcome new addition to the Old street area.
Keep walking past on my way to work but not had a reason to visit until recently. I pulled my back and hips at the gym a while ago and it's still been a bit painful so last week decided to pop in for a massage to see if they could help. Old Street gets ridiculously noisy at times but as soon as you walk through the door, there's an aura of calm. The manager spoke to me about what they could do to help, so I thought "Ah, might as well give it a go" - paid for 1 hour, hopped in the shower and made my way to a pretty spacious massage room. The therapist came in, a bubbly chatty girl, who proceeded to unknot my back with her well trained hands. It was an hour of bliss, and when I left my back and hips were that much better. Highly recommended.
