Very much a pub for local people. The staff are not always terribly numerate two identical drinks for an odd number total?. Has had a bit of a much needed face-lift recently in terms of a light refurbishment.

Staff amazing landlady Sam. even better it's a pub which caters for every age group and the atmosphere is fantastic. Best place to drink have fun do a quiz dance and do karaoke in Gildersome. Don't go it's your loss.

Lovely friendly staff, and customers. Good prices & good choices of beverages. It's spotlessly clean inside & out. It's much better under the new management :-
