My partner and myself visited today after we finished an unexpected day at work. I had booked a table for 12.30pm but we finished earlier than expected so we popped in hoping we could be seated early. We was greeted by a member of the management team and it was not a problem we was early. Even better we was told we could either sit at the table we was allocated or choose another table. We did sit in a booth as our son loves them. I had the full Mon mixed grill, my partner had the big plate gammon and as always my son had the fish and chips. All the food as always was absolutely perfect. All members of the team who we encountered was so lovely and friendly. We will definitely be back very soon as this is our new favourite place to eat out
Great food, a lot for your money! Very good quality dishes but the chicken I had on my meal was very bland and overly chewy in places. But the meals are well presented, the staff are friendly so I had no major complaints about this pub and I will be going back!
Food was of very poor quality, salt and pepper chips were normal french fries with chip spice on the sauce on chicken was non existant chicken breast deep fried and burned, soaking in fat as seen on picture nothing to what it is advertised as
Starters were lovely, but the main left a lot to be desired. The scampi on the fish supper was mostly just batter, the steak on both the mixed grill and the burger sizzler combo were tasteless and over cooked also the burger on the combo had been cooked then cooked again and finally cooked some more and could have been used to build houses. I mentioned this to the staff but just got a sorry but to be honest I doubt any of the staff have done any form of customer service training as no call backs and no offer of sauces Also if you want to use blue light card don't order online as it won't work and once you've ordered it's too late Poor experience overall, not bad for my birthday meal
Nice typical pub menu, nothing fancy but good value and reasonable quality. Staff are spot on,, good service always. I like the place if you choose your time right, it's not too busy, considering it's location. Don't like overcrowded venues especially with this covid aspect at the moment.
Visited on a Sunday evening. Food is really lovely and huge portions. Tried both rosé wines... neither were nice, both tasted like they had come from a bottle that had been open for months. The white wine is much nicer. Place is clean and there's a relaxed atmosphere. Staff swearing at each other and moaning about being at work wasn't great but didn't ruin the food.
We had Christmas Dinner today and it was beautiful the staff were brilliant, attentive, pleasant, polite every single one of them provided great service. We had a wonderful meal a great table and fully enjoyed ourselves. Thank you for a memorable day.
Awful, our food came out cold and disgusting, we tried to complain first thing the waitress did was look at her watch , we got a refund and we were not offered anything else , they didn't seem to care the food was disgusting, they didn't seem to care that this was our first impression of the place and more to the point they did very little to make us feel welcome or anything to make up for the fact we had travelled a long way to try the place and food . To be honest we won't be back . Absolutely disgusted with the place the staff and the service. Don't waste your money not worth it at all , the beer was even awful and the staff behind the bar didn't even know how to make the drinks on their menu
Breakfast was absolutely superb, only one criticism and that is the mushrooms do need a little longer cooking time! Staff were lovely and checked up on us half way through. Will be visiting again for the slider burgers we happened to notice on the menu!
Thank you for a fantastic afternoon on Tuesday 6th December .We had the turkey and tinsel lunch with Danielle Grace Williams singing.The food was outstanding,all the staff went above and beyond. Would recommend to anyone. Love the Friday ladies xx
