This was my first visit to the Odeon Cinema hull One, when I was up for the weekend. I was impressed by the service, and the friendly staff encountered. Seats were comfy and the cinema was very clean. Given it's location, I would not hesitate to return, nor would I put anyone off from visiting. People say it is expensive, but they really need to visit Other odeons before they say that. I found prices to be reasonable and quite acceptable.
Very cool place, comfortable, reclining chairs, big screen great atmosphere and viewing experience
Never known a cinema with such friendly, caring staff! They go over and above helping with a personal request. Nothing is too much trouble. It is the only cinema where I feel confident going alone. With a disability too! Very clean, comfy reclining seats, good value for money. I would give higher than 5 stars!
Such a great experience at this cinema, it's a bit of a drive for us but as a treat its well worth a visit. Lots of choice for drinks and snacks, easy to book beforehand and the seats are amazing. Very comfortable, nice to feel like you have your own space
One of the worst cinema experiences I've ever had, if not the worst! Went to see Avatar: The way of water at the iSense, screen 5 in 3D at Hull luxe. We were so excited to watch this film and decided to spend the extra cash to go to Ocean Luxe iSense for what we thought would be the best cinema experiences we could have. For the two of us it was £44 with 3D Glasses. Within 30 minutes of watching the film I couldn't believe how blurry the image was! I couldn't focus on the charactes or text on screen. So much so that I left my seat to find management. Management came and looked at the screen but nothing was changed. At the end of the film I went back to management who said they could see nothing wrong. When asked if that was the best they could do, they said, yes. If I wanted better I should go to Leeds as they use Lasers. I could believe that we've paid £44 for a blurry film. I will also say that the screen is not noticely bigger than other screens in other cinemas. The sound quality was basic, nother to be impressed with and the image seemed dark. The only saving grace was the Luxe seating. But worth £44? I think not. Safe to say will not being comming back to Odean.
We saw Avatar "water of life" yesterday 02.01.23 and had a great experience. Very expensive compared to other Hull Cinemas but a completely different experience. Well worth it as a treat, but I wouldn't be able to afford to go often. At least the 3D glasses are included unlike the others who charge extra
an ok cinema, reason why i gave it 2 star was because of the staff, they were very ignorant, left me standing at the counter and would avoid eye contact with me. They claimed that they were very busy but I saw them standing in the corner talking amongst themselves not doing anything while all the customers were waiting to be served. Not a wide choice of wine and only sell draft beer, one small glass of wine costs £5.50 and a bottle costs £28 which i think is ridiculous. This cinema used to be nice and the staff were actually good at there job, and used to be way cheaper but it has gone downhill and i suggest to avoid this cinema and go to one that you'll actually enjoy.
We don't visit the cinema often but when we do we come here. From the touch screen systems for tickets and food to the amazing seating, it really makes paying for the cinema worth it. No more fidgeting because I've got a numb bum!
Disappointing… subtitles were really blurry we watched one piece and the sound was extremely loud to the point where I could feel my bones shake in my body as if I was in a night club. Instead of a nice experience I got a headache. Waste of money and time.
These new prices are ridiculous. £10 a seat was excessive especially considering the lack of staff replaces with DIY services but £16?! For a basic recline seat? £9.50 for a VIP at Vue. No cinema trip should be costing a family £100. Stop being greedy
