We took the grandchildren to see a film at the Odeon today, the staff were sooo friendly and helpful. One lady in particular Xena went above and beyond, she must have noticed how chilly we felt and came across to say the room had been cleaned and we were quite welcome to go in to get comfortable, which I thought was lovely. when we scanned our tickets another staff member asked if we'd like her to help carry bits to our seats, which again very helpful.nThe best bit of our experience came, when Poppy needed the laboratory and got upset saying she didn't like the film, I went to Xena and asked if she would watch Poppy while I went to tell my husband where we were, the empathy was wonderful, she hugged Poppy and assured her all will be well, when I returned, she had seated Poppy with crayons, paper, stickers and a lolly, while we waited for the film to finish. Absolutely brilliant service at Odeon Hull, well done to you all and Xena. I hope this is shared at a higher level, they need to know how amazing you are!!!!nKind regardsnBeverley Jane Watts
Visited this cinema for the first time, and overall was very impressed. The seating and legroom offered was some of the best I've ever experienced. Being a big guy I appreciated this, the only slight downside was the swing tables which got in the way getting up and down, but that was more due to being big and broad, most folks wouldn't have a problem.nnIt was also good to find the theatre was gradually sloped, with big stairs and hand rails. Looked like it had been built taking into consideration the disabled and less mobile.nnThe actual sound and picture qualities were very good, and there were all the usual, facilities, for food, drink, etc. the staff were fine, and helpful when asked.nnThere is plenty of parking outside but the process of how it work needs better signage. It took a while to work out that if you were using the cinema parking was free and you just needed register your car number plate inside.nnOverall apart from a couple of minor niggles it was a good experience, and we likely return in the future.
I have just been with my siblings an one of their friends with one who is autistic and has Tourette’s and another with adhd my youngest brother and he was recording but we didn’t see any rules so my youngest brother didn’t understand so we got brought out of the cinema room and the guy was like right all I want you to do is delete the videos and get out I think they should put the no recording rule on the screen because not everyone understands the guy just didn’t care I am very disappointed the way the guy said it and got kicked out but other than that it was fine
I have visited this cinema for years, I enjoy the atmosphere and since they installed the recliners its a really pleasant experience. I just have an issue with £26 for 2 popcorn and 2 drinks.
Always our go to cinema - a bit on the expensive side so makes us pause for thought on whether to go to the cinema sometimes - but a great experience as a treat.nnSound system in some of the smaller screens is a bit quiet for a cinema and lacks that big screen atmosphere but most are fantastic.
