A lovely old building and a perfect size for the stand up comedy show. Only issue was the ticket said doors open 1830 and we planned to arrive for a drink before the show but on arrival at 1850 was told we are not ready so walked up the road and found the brilliant Courtyard micro pub where we had a couple of pints before returning to the Empire.

I had been meaning to go since we moved to the area in 2020. I went yesterday to see Gary Delaney, and I was not disappointed. Nice venue and a very funny show.
Amazing local cinema, run by volunteers, never been before as i moved to halstead not long be the 1st lockdown but happy ive been now

This is always a place to enjoy a film or show. My best memory of it is saying Jurassic Park in 1993.
