Ian from Octopus clinic has been fantastic in resolving my shoulder issues. I’ve had shoulder pain for around 5 years which has significantly impacted my ability to lift weights. I had tried a number of physios but with no success until I was seen by Ian. He was able to find the root cause of the pain and I’m now able to go back to the gym pain free! I would highly recommend Ian.
Robyn was a godsend when I came to her with a long history of back issues and with no understanding of which movements helped and which caused flare ups. Not only did she remove me from this state of worry and inactivity but she also helped me to feel confident and safe returning to the gym and experimenting with various exercises. She set challenging but achievable goals and always provided feedback on them in our sessions-- always giving alternatives to scale back or increase the difficulty of exercises when needed. I can't recommend Robyn enough !
I've had a chronic shoulder pain for a couple of years. My GP recommended me this clinic, and seeing Ian. He's been amazing in helping me! only 4 sessions so far and his treatment has gone a long way. He is very competent in identifying the issue and the engaged muscles before planning the treatment, and his sessions have proved highly effective. I strongly recommend him!
I saw Dr. Robyn a pain in my foot that she treated very well. Then I was encouraged to go back again to treat a pain in my shoulder. I highly recommend this clinic.

Ian has honestly been the best physio I have seen over the last 10 years. I have had a problem with my hip/internal rotation for years and have been to see numerous physios during the last 10 years and no one has come close. Ian has been able to sort out my problem without seeing me for months and months on end - like other physios and has done so within a short time span prob 3 months, but I have to add would have been sooner if I had done my exercises he gave me, at home! From the first consultation, which was so impressive, first time ever having a plan of action emailed to me and also a diagnostic report, also emailed to me, to the last appt which he sent me away with a plan of exercises to do at home, plus saying I could email him should I have any issues. I honestly thought I would have pain, limp and inability to cross my legs for ever but thankfully for Ian, I am limp free and my internal rotation is 80% there. I must add that Ian had to deal with my problem that had been getting worse and worse over the years, so it was not a quick fix. What I was also impressed with was that he said at the beginning he did not want me to be seeing him for too long unlike other physios, who I feel just want your money! His words were something like, "I have not done my job if you are still seeing me after a few months". I can honestly say booking with Ian has changed my life. I was unable to walk for more than 30 yards without severe pain and now I can walk for hours!! Would 100000% recommend Ian and hope this review can reassure anyone thinking of booking with this clinic that they will get first class treatment! Amanda Thomas
I have been to an uncountable number physios over the years and Ian Repton has been second to none. I'll not be using any others going forward! Ian is not only extremely knowledgeable and experienced, but he is also practical and pragmatic when it comes to a recovery / rehab plan. He takes a sensible view on the rehab program and will not overdo it by suggesting excessive physio appointments which are time consuming and expensive. Ian is also an extremely positive person and can get you through any of the downs / frustrations that can be associated with recurring injuries! He also listens to you and tweaks the rehab plans to fit your aims and your other commitments, and doesn't tend to overload the rehab or set unrealistic expectations of exercises to complete. Ian is a real pleasure, and I couldn't recommend him highly enough!
I cannot articulate just how genuinely incredible Lucy and her team are! I have been seeing Lucy for a number of years now for a long term hip problem-and regard her as one of the best experts there is for all things physio related and injury! Her kindness and continued support for her clients is rather unique- she and her team take a real interest in their clients- and make you feel that they are determined to both help, heal and understand you as an individual. I was recently seeing Robyn the physio for some hands on help who is an absolute star and has given me wonderful treatment and all round loveliness!! I have just started Seeing the amazing Osteopath Anna Borisova and she is a total wizard where the body is concerned! Anna is incredibly knowledgeable in regards movement dysfunction, her hands on help and her acute attention to detail in terms of understanding her clients injury or difficulties makes you feel you are genuinely in the hands of an expert- who isn’t just interested in short term results but long term recovery- I have experienced her wonderful hands on treatment but also learned so much about my body. Anna has also gone out of her way to give me a program of exercises that she has gone through with me thoroughly. I can honestly say she’s one of the best osteopaths I’ve seen-and whilst an obvious expert- treats you with warmth and empathy! The great thing about Octopus is that they have a team of experts at your disposal so if somethings not working or they feel you might need a certain type of treatment-you can see any of the team and know you’re in 1st class hands so to speak! I can’t praise Lucy, Robyn or Anna enough!! I’d also like to take this opportunity to praise Renee and Rhea who organise all the appointments and meet you when you enter the clinic-They go out of their way to facilitate your sessions and are just sincerely so nice to deal with- they meet you so positively and have done a great deal for me in terms of organising my sessions! Two diamonds! If you’re contemplating visiting Octopus Clinic- just do it!
I tore the meniscus in my knee in July 2021. 3 years later and despite one menisectomy operation and the involvement of numerous surgeons and physios, my knee still ached. I then found Lucy in September 2023. Lucy treats me as an individual unlike the "conveyor belt" approach I have experienced so far. Lucy has given me a long term goal, a timescale and detailed exercises to achieve those goals. I have complete confidence in her advice and the way she is treating my knee. Definitely 5 stars!
