My husband Richard and I don't go out for dinner often. As a rare treat we popped into the Maghera Inn. The staff and bar was incredibly busy, but we were made to feel very welcome. The meal was lovely and with the exception of the strange tobacco onions we couldn't fault it. I'm guessing the tobacco onions weren't cooked enough and came out as a "lump." Guess we will have to give the Maghera Inn another try? It might be another few years ( so don't be offended)....I'm not able to work anymore and meals out are rare. But we both enjoyed the experience. Thank you.

Wonderful food, brilliant atmosphere brilliant friendly staff. Noticed a good place for tourists to visit. Even I from Lurgan was made at home. Good prices & portions as closed to Michelin standards you will get in Northern Ireland. No wonder it has won a few awards. Best place I have had a meal in for a long time.

Quite busy so book in advance. We waited 30mins on a table on a Sunday afternoon, but it was worth the wait. High quality food and nice atmosphere too.

Excellent staff, lovely atmosphere, really popular spot for some great local food. If your nearby and hungry give it go, can't go wrong!

Found this by chance while looking for a place to have dinner in the area. Great atmosphere, fantastic food and friendly staff. Will definitely visit again.
